He built impenetrable walls around his heart…
The Black Death showed no mercy when it took Rowan Graham’s beautiful wife. Left to raise their daughter alone, Rowan fully intends to keep the promises he made to Kate on her deathbed – save for one. He will not give his heart to another woman.
She will bring them tumbling down…
Lady Arline has been unlucky in love and in marriage. Her first husband was old enough to be her great grandfather and her last was simply cruel. Once her marriage to Garrick Blackthorn is annulled, Lady Arline is determined to live the rest of her life in peace and harmony. And she’ll live out her days alone.
Fate has another plan….
When his daughter is kidnapped and held for ransom by Garrick Blackthorn, Rowan calls on the bond of the seven clans to help rescue his daughter. Little does he know that his enemy’s wife has been caring for his child, risking her own life in the process. Lady Arline does not realize the kidnapped child belongs to the man from her past, a man who has invaded her dreams for years, until the night he comes for his daughter…
Fate brings them together – but men might just pull them apart.
I can say that Suzan Tisdale has quickly become one of my favorite all time authors! I was lucky enough to discover her earlier this year.
Ever since I read the first book from The Clan Graham Series, I have been hooked; I mean completely and utterly addicted. She knows how to weave such an outstanding tale.
The characters are to die for; you instantly become friends with them. I wanted to jump inside the novel and protect them. These powerful feelings told me that I had my hands on a great book. Any story that makes you feel that strongly about it is something you’ll never forget. Honestly, I am attached to every book I have read by her.
I impatiently wait for the next installment. I have re read a few of them; deciding to review Rowan’s Lady first, because it touched me with such force.
Rowan and Arline are perfection together; it is so sentimental but in a beautiful way. I wanted to cry, laugh, yell, and do a happy dance all at once.
Rowan is the perfect highlander, instantly takes over caring for Arline in such a romantic way that I wanted to swoon. This was not a corny romance; it was touching, beautiful, and full of adventure and love.
Also, I became so in love with Lily! She was charming, fun, and entertaining. She made the book complete! I was touched at how Rowan wasted no time in making her feel welcome and loved.
Rowan, the complete package; handsome, protective, giving, kind, and ferocious when needed. He won my heart by letting everyone know he was madly in love with his first wife. He was very honest and forthcoming at how he would never forget her. The alpha male every woman wants!
I absolutely love how Suzan portrays her characters: never boring, full of life, mysterious, funny, romantic, and strong. The plot was consecutive and understanding; never getting off course, it kept me reading into the night. I did not want to put it down.
I give this book 5 stars and its really worth more. This entire Clan Graham Series has been so lovely. I am sad that I have finished every novel. I’m awaiting anxiously for the next one. I would suggest this book to anyone and none of you will be disappointed!

About the Author
Suzan lives in the Midwest with her verra handsome carpenter husband, the last of their four children. Their youngest, a 6’3″, 15-year-old boy is eating them out of house and home. Monetary donations are currently being accepted in order to feed their built-like-a-linebacker son and keep him in shoes.
Suzan has been writing since childhood but until recently, she had never shared anything she had written with anyone. Writing was the easy part. But the thought of sharing what she had written caused her lower intestines to seize, brought forth heart palpitations and cold sweats. But she woke up one morning and realized she was on the other side of forty and had her ‘ah ha!” moment. She didn’t want to wake up on the other side of 60 or 70 and wonder “what if?” It has been a whirlwind journey ever since!
Some people say she is obsessed with writing. Suzan prefers to think of it as a passion. While there is great joy in writing, the biggest joy comes in sharing what you’ve written with the world. So she writes passionately and shares her work joyfully with the intent of bringing smiles to her readers’ faces.
