About the Book
Title: My Highland Lover (Highland Hearts #1)
Author: Maeve Greyson
Release Date: March 24, 2015
Genre: Historical Romance, Scottish, Time Travel
Maeve Greyson unleashes a thrilling tale of magic and desire as a feisty Southern gal falls into the arms of a rough-hewn Highland chieftain.
As the proprietor of a homeopathic store in rural Kentucky, Trulie Sinclair knows that her neighbors think she’s strange—but they have no idea how strange she really is. Trulie was born in Scotland in the thirteenth century to a line of time-traveling Highlanders. When Trulie’s grandmother convinces her to return to their homeland,Trulie jumps back in time, right onto the powerful chest of Gray MacKenna. Just as his steely good looks send ripples through her body, their fierce attraction will send ripples through the ages.
After his parents murdered, Gray is consumed by thoughts of revenge. As the new chieftain of the MacKenna clan, he has reason to believe that there’s a traitor in his midst, and nothing—not even the bonny lass who suddenly drops from the sky—can distract him from his single-minded pursuit of the culprit. But when Gray learns that this sassy beauty possesses gifts beyond the sparkle in her eye, he allows his gaze, and his heart, to linger. While he hunts for the murderer, Gray finds in Trulie a precious companion—and a timeless love.
I’ve got to tell you, this is another favorite of mine for the year 2015; a wonderful time travel romance with highlanders and unexpected twists.
Trulie Sinclair and her grandmother, Nia Sinclair can jump right through time. Right off, learning something like this made the book completely interesting. So I couldn’t wait to figure out what happens next.
Gray is the Highlander from 1296! When Trulie jumps through time she lands right on top of him, and then the adventure begins. I am not going to share anymore details than that.
But, I am just going to let everyone know, this book is a must read. You will laugh, cry, and be totally wanting to come through the book and make the characters do what you want them to do.
I have always loved time travel romance, especially when it involves highlander men and 20th century women trying to figure out what their purpose is in life traveling back thousands of years.
Each character keeps you on your toes. Then, you become frustrated, in a good way, because you know what should happen. But of course, these characters have their own minds.
Trulie’s grandmother was a breath of fresh air. She was constantly making me laugh and I enjoyed their banter. When Trulie and Gray come together, there is a fierce attraction that is undeniable. I love how they both try very hard to ignore this and continue on. It made things entertaining and not so obvious. I don’t like it when writers make the characters fall for one another in one week.
There was depth to this novel, “My Highland Lover.” It was detailed, telling you a story that you guys will never forget. I would recommend this to all of my followers, friends, and family. This is a must read. You will feel every type of emotion possible.
One thing’s for sure, this book is a 10 star read and I cannot wait for the next installment. Author Maeve Greyson has caught my heart with the Highland Heart Series.

About the Author
I’m Maeve Greyson, paranormal romance writer from Kentucky. The stories I write are filled with love, passion and anything might happen just to get to that happily ever after.
I’ve been a dreamer all my life but never shared my stories until my mother’s failing health demanded she become a heart transplant recipient. Her resulting journey terrified her. My stories gave her a brief escape from her devastating illness.
She’s been gone for a while now. But the joy of releasing my dreams to the page remains. Many of my stories are filled with the mysteries of time-travel and legends, all with a Celtic flair. Scotland and Ireland sing to my soul. In a past life, I’m certain I walked those magical lands.
My writing partner is Jasper, a stubborn little dog who never remembers the dire consequences of chasing skunks at the edge of the woods. Under Jasper’s devoted supervision and the loving support of my husband of over thirty years, I hide away in our secluded wood and follow wherever my characters lead.
