Will Rose and Hunter overcome their differences and embrace true love?
Rose Woodcourt, a poor seamstress, is too proud to accept help, even when her home and freedom are threatened by the nefarious Mr. Wolfe. Especially not from Hunter Thorne, a titled gentleman far above her station. Earls only court common misses for one reason, and Rose has no interest in being a wealthy man’s mistress–however handsome and charming he may be.
Hunter is an honorable man; he refuses to turn his back on the spirited beauty regardless of how hard she pushes him away. As Mr. Wolfe’s threats evolve into actions Rose has little choice but to turn to Hunter.
Can the pair put an end to Wolfe’s nefarious deeds before Rose loses everything she holds dear, including her freedom?
1.) What or who inspired you to become a writer?
I always enjoyed writing. In elementary school I started a poetry club and won an award for one of my poems but it was not until high school that I discovered my love of novels. Then in my young adult years I started thinking about writing my own books. It was getting a job as a content editor that gave me the final push and made me start writing to publish.
2.) What is the funniest thing about being a writer?
This is a harder question than it seems! Are we talking “LOL” funny or “wow that is odd” funny? I find humor in what I write sometimes. I will be working on a scene or writing some dialogue and find myself laughing with my characters. It is a bit funny how real they become as I tell their stories.
3.) What is the hardest thing about being a writer?
In the beginning the hardest thing was thickening my skin. Not everyone will love every book but it still hurt when I got my first bad review. It made no difference that I had a pile of 4 and 5 star reviews on my book. That first bad review still devastated me and made me question my talent for a bit. Now I think the hardest thing about writing is keeping my butt in my seat long enough to hit my daily word goals.
4.) Who are some of your favorite authors?
I love so many!! Lisa Kleypas, Christi Caldwell, Julie Johnstone, Johanna Lindsey, Meara Platt, Lisa Olech, Tessa Dare, Katherine Le Veque, Alexandra Hawkins… I could go on for a while here! Katherine Bone, Victoria Vane, Samantha Grace, Gina Conkle, Julia Quinn…
5.) Why did you decide the historical genre was the best genre for you to begin writing in?
I have always loved history and my favorite gene to read is historical romance. When I started writing I never even considered a different genre.
6.) What is your advice to people such as I and others that want to become writers one day?
Pursue your dream. Keep writing and learning. If you want something badly enough-you can have it.
7.) What other hobbies do you have that make your life interesting?
My kids take up most of my free time and I would not have it any other way! When I do find some time to myself I like to read, crochet, do crafts, or mess around photography.
8.) What would you like to say to all of your fans?
I love you guys!!!! I have the most amazing, supportive fans and I am so blessed to have them.
